Wishing for Sun
Ending blooms before the seed seek just a taste of sun The reason behind this painting stems from the fact that I suffer from Seasonal Affective Disorder or SAD. I had been cooped up in the house during a long gray and rainy week and it was my birthday. I only wanted the sun to peek out and shed some rays on my dampened spirit. I gave up and finally painted myself some sunshine. All the other dandelions in the painting are going to seed. When I was a kid blowing on dandelions granted wishes...The one lonely light green dandelion in the middle signifies the desire to fight the blues while "Wishing for Sun".
